The devil leaves Naga church leaders jittery

Our Kohima Correspondent

Amidst the growing apprehension and disbelief among the people about the existence of Satanism in Nagaland, there are claims that the number of ‘Satanists’ or ‘devil worshipers’ has increased ‘twofold’ in the recent years numbering to about 5, 000.

The assertion was made by a local pastor, Rukuolhoulie Solo, of Flames of Fire Baptist Church during at a press conference this evening at the Seasons Café in Kohima town. The conference was conducted in regard to the launch of an institution called the Nagaland School of Deliverance.

He said that of late Satanism has been ‘growing like wildfire especially in Christian-dominated states like Nagaland and Mizoram,’ with high school students (teenagers) reportedly comprising the highest number among those involved into Satanism.
Through the guidance and vision from God, Solo said, the Nagaland School of  Deliverance-‘Five days to know deliverance’ was being organized by Flames of Fire Baptist Church to ‘create awareness on the existence of Satanism among the youths, and also to deal with the spiritual problems.’

Solo said that the ‘presence and growing of devil worshipers’ will affect and bring chaos to the state by increasing social crimes, affecting the youths especially teenagers and high school going students; place the church in danger ‘with false teaching, discord in the family and also leading to loss of our culture and honor.’

The church leader said further that the ‘increase in the number of devil worshipers in the recent years’ was due to ‘lack of awareness on the steps and strategies of dealing with them.’

Therefore, he said, the Nagaland School of Deliverance was for all sections of the people irrespective of denominations and ‘to train church leaders and interested people on the methods of deliverance and post-deliverance in this spiritual warfare.’

A five-day program will be conducted with the theme ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…to set the captives free’) Isa 61:1) and scheduled from July 27 to the 31st. The event will be conducted at the APO Hall at Phoolbari of Kohima town.

The speakers for the event will include Rukuolhoulie Solo, pastor of Flames of Fire Baptist Church; Rev Azahto Kiba, pastor of New Life Church of Kohima; Mezhsevi Zutso, joint secretary for literature of the NCRC and Avi Yongo, of RHEMA Tulsa, Oklahoma USA.

The speakers will be speaking on topics such as ‘believer’s authority’,  ‘symptoms of demonization’, ‘signpost for diagnosis’, ‘biblical theology of deliverance’, ‘history of deliverance ministry’, ‘generational curses, occult fantasy & deliverance’, ‘inner healing’, ‘procedures and agents in/for deliverance’ , ‘qualities of a counselor in deliverance’, ‘doorway to demons’, ‘demonization, demon possession and devil worship: a discernment’ , ‘prayer and deliverance’, ‘practical suggestions for deliverance’ , ‘freedom lifestyle: post deliverance’ and ‘prepare for war’.

The organizers informed that church leaders from all the districts of Nagaland will be attending the program. They said that the event would be a yearly program ‘so that more people will be trained to deal with this growing problem.’

The organizing committee has invited the public irrespective of denominations to attend the program and be blessed.
